The Siemens 3RT2018-1AP61 contactor is rated for 16 AMPS, has a 240 volt AC rated coil and 1 normally open base mounted auxiliary contact. This 3 pole contactor is suited for applications that are 5 H.P. at 230 volt, 10 H.P. at 460 volt 3 phase and has screw terminals along with DIN rail mounting for easy installation and removal. For a lower rated contactor than the 3RT2018-1AP61, the 3RT2017-1AP61 is the same frame size, has the same coil voltage but is rated for 12 AMPS and can handle slightly lower rated applications.

The Siemens Size S00 contactors have an auxiliary contact integrated in the basic unit. The basic units size S0 contain two integrated auxiliary contacts (1 NO + 1 NC). All basic units can be expanded with auxiliary switch blocks. For size S0 and higher, complete units with 2 NO + 2 NC are available (terminal designation according to EN 50012). The auxiliary switch block can be removed and a maximum of 4 additional auxiliary contacts can be attached.  3RU21 thermal overload relays or 3RB30 solid-state overload relays can be fitted to the 3RT2 contactors for protection against overload.
Technical Specifications
  • 3RT2018 contactors are finger-safe according to EN 50274. The devices with ring terminal lug connection comply with degree of protection IP20 when fitted with the related terminal cover. All contactors of size S00 with one auxiliary contact (identification numbers 10E or 01) and the contactors with 4 main contacts can be expanded into contactors with 2 to 5 auxiliary contacts using auxiliary switch blocks with the identification numbers 40 to 04.
