In some instances simply replacing a Sirius 3RT contactor coil is all that is needed to get a contactor back up and running. Siemens offers replacement coils on all frames sizes from S0 to S12 and this can be the most cost efficient method for contactor maintenance. The magnetic coil is switched on and off directly with the control supply voltage via terminals A1/A2. In addition, allowance is also made for a coil voltage tolerance of 0.8 times the lower rated control supply voltage (Us min) and 1.1 times the upper rated control supply voltage (Us max), within which the contactor switches reliably and no thermal overloading occurs.
