Complete with mechanical interlock and wiring harnesses, this Siemens reversing contactor is rated for 3 H.P. @ 230 volt and 5 H.P. @ 460 volt 3 phase and is suitable for forward/reversing applications.
As the suitable electrical replacement for the now obsolete 3RA1316-8XB30-1AB0, the 3RA2316-8XB30-1AB0 comes with an additional auxiliary contact, 1 normally closed, and additional thermal or solid state overload relays along with front or side mounted auxiliary can be added for increased motor protection and signalling

These Siemens reversing assemblies are comprised of two electrically identical contactors, in this case two 3RT2016-1AB02 rated for 9 AMPS each. They are mechanically held through an interlock that is installed between the two contactors which physically prevents one contactor from engaging while the other coil is actuated. The electrical interlock provided connects the two normally closed auxiliaries and prevents electrical engagement at the same time. For motor protection a direct mount electronic or thermal overload must be attached to satisfy this requirement.
